The Global 3500 is the world's largest companies with over $1 billion in revenue. As the global economy has grown this special list has grown from the Global 2000 to the current Global 3500 early at the turn of the century. The Global 3500 is an elite list of eite, technologically advanced businesses. Business growth to $1 billion in sales means over $2.7 million in revenue each day. The grouping of businesses is similar to the Fortune 500 and first used by Forester Research. You'll see that most of the companies at the top of the list are Oil and/or Energy companies and Financial companies. The US still has most of the highest revenue companies in the world.
